If you’re ready to give up disposable pens, then open your mind to the exciting world of fountain pens!
A fountain pen contains a reservoir of ink. Different pens are filled with ink in different ways. My pen has a knob at the end, which I twist in order to suck ink into the reservoir. I will admit that this process usually results in some black splotches on my fingers. But I’m a fountain pen beginner, and I believe that I’ll get better at this over time.
If you don’t want to risk the mess, a cartridge pen uses ink cartridges, which are usually plastic and disposable.  However, with a few simple tools, you can refill the cartridges yourself.
