At first, I thought that refillable mechanical pencils would generate less garbage, but I haven’t found any refills that come in a recyclable container. So I’m back to the good old #2 pencils.  I’m still looking for just the right brand.  I’m dreaming of a pencil made of recycled/renewable materials, recyclable aluminum ferrule, a natural eraser … I’ll update this post when I find my dream pencil.
